The Nile River is the longest river in the world. With a length of about 6km, the Nile River flows through 9 countries in Africa. It is strongly suspected that the upstream of the Nile River is in Lake Viktorian while the downstream is in the Mediterranean Sea. The Nile River almost overflows every year; therefore the Aswan Dam was built in 1970. This river is also become a transportation route for stones and materials for the construction of the pyramids in Egypt.
